Harley With An Unusual Paint Theme

I was approached by a customer who wanted a one off paint job on his Harley Davidson. Well this didn't seem like an unusual request until I heard what the guy was asking me to base the theme on.
As a hobby he used to go abroad & fish for Marlin. He asked whether I could paint a picture of one on the petrol tank & rear fender. To make things even more unusual he also wanted me to incorporate a few skulls into the picture ???
To make things even more interesting, he wanted me to use a Purple & Blue Flip Flop Candy Pearl which would change colour depending on how the light shone on it & the angle you was looking.

Well if that wasn't enough I was asked to widen the petrol tank by five inches.
By the time I had fabricated the tank I had decided in how I was going to approach this interesting paint job.

To compliment the shape of the rear fender I air brushed the first Marlin just under the rear lamp.
With the tank I decided to split the picture & do a similar one each side.
As for the skulls, I put one under the water to make it look like the marlin was jumping up out of the water to get away from it & another skull in the sky as a cloud.
I think that the end result was everything that the customer was looking for.
Although to this day, I think he was testing me to see if he had found  something  I wasn't able to do, because you see I have done work for him before  & he was blown away by what I managed to do with his 1955 Chevy Nomad.... But that's another story !!!!
